Fossil Wall

Yesterday saw a mad dash to the Peak for a day out of London, which I have been in need of for quite some time.

Grit probably would have probably been a  better option given the abundance of easy problems but both my partner and I never get on with the stuff. We did however want to try something different and after a quick search I came across Fossil Wall.

It was a speculative choice, but having been I can highly recommend it provided you like limestone. It is situated above the A6 just outside of Bakewell.

It was great to get out for a bit and dust off the cobwebs, however I am now paying the price with an acky shoulder.

That's awesome Jenn!

I know the Bakewell area - very nice. I'm definitely bringing my climbing shoes the next time I go to Blighty!

Despite the achy shoulder, I'm glad to see you back at it! The pics are great!

Best wishes,

e.

Hey Jenn,

Sorry to see that you've not posted in a while.

Sadly, my climbing career has been placed on hold indefinitely. I managed to rupture my bicep a couple of weeks ago. It required surgery and i'm looking at a minimum of 10 months before i can get back at it. given my age and size, i might have to give the whole climbing gig up. Needless to say my spirits have tanked to rock bottom (no pun intended). The beautiful Canadian summer is here and I can't even ride my bike.

sigh....

Hope that you are back into the swing of things.

Cheers,

e.

So sorry to hear about your bicep rupture. Owch - that sounds very painful. Did you have the surgery yet? I hope that you have a quick recovery.

I understand how MTB would be out of the question - but could you do some hiking? I've been thinking of taking that up again myslef.

Sadly, I'm still very injured. I never had the surgery for lots of reasons and my life is ratehr occupied. I just started a PhD. It is going well, but it leaves little time for anything else.

Try to hang in there. I know just how tough it can be.
